The Skoglund family has many reasons to be proud of their daughter, Renee. She is compassionate, caring, and strives to help others in need throughout their community in Hernando Beach, FL. A few years ago, Renee recognized that many local veterans were missing important doctor’s appointments or hospital visits due to a lack of transportation. 

Her realization came after her father, who lives with Alzheimer’s disease, missed countless appointments because no one was available to accompany him. Understanding that she could help her neighbors by providing a simple car ride, Renee rose to the occasion and has been offering transportation to and from veterans’ scheduled appointments weekly.

The ability to serve others is a quality that is near and dear to Renee’s heart, especially since her father is a veteran himself. This month, we are honoring Renee for her generosity, kindness, and for supporting our veterans. Her compassion makes her a true Rise to the Occasion hero in our book! We will be sending Renee a care package of Rise Bars to help keep her going and doing what she loves – helping those in need. Thank you for all you do, Renee!
