Rise Bar Workout Playlist

You're getting ready to exercise and you're packing up all the essentials; gym clothes, sneakers, water bottle, and you definitely can't forget: headphones to listen to music! We all listen to music when working out, but why exactly does it help us? Yes, it might be helpful to block out the noises of the gym (we hear you weight slammers), but it's also because listening to music while exercising helps us to focus on our movements, combat boredom, and improves the efficiency of our workouts. Not to mention, who wouldn't be motivated running to the beat of The Rocky Theme Song?

Studies have shown that listening to music tends to help improve athletic performance either by increasing distance travelled, pace, or repetitions completed. Recent studies have also showed that participants who listened to music they deemed “pleasing” had higher levels of serotonin, known as the “feel-good” hormone. Listening to music not only can make your workout more effective and increase your performance, it can also put you in a better mood for your workout!

At Rise Bar, we know that a great playlist is essential when getting the most out of your workout.  To help you get going and get motivated, we've compiled a list of our favorite songs to listen to while working out!
